An introduction to corporate jets

Most people have heard of corporate jets at one point or another in their lives, but not all know what they are. As the name would suggest, corporate jets are simply jets which are used for business purposes. Usually, the corporate jets are private jets as opposed to commercial jets. This is due to the fact that such corporate jets need to have some level of flexibility and comfort which may not be provided by the commercial airlines. For instance, the corporate jets need to be able to take off at whatever time the company pleases, and should also be able to access most landing strips including private airstrips.

If you have a company and you think that corporate jets would suit you, there are several ways of going about acquiring these. The most obvious and most expensive of these is to buy your own jets. This is a method of making use of corporate jets which most people would not afford, since it’s very expensive to buy and maintain such aircraft. Alternatively, one could decide to lease the corporate jets from a charter company. This is much cheaper, since many charter companies can offer long term leases for a fraction of the price of a plane.
