Are private jets cost effective?

Most will see private jets as a luxury used by those who have money to throw away on luxuries: in reality though most private jets are used not for pleasure but for business. One simple way to ascertain if a flight is good value is to work out how much time a person saves by using a private jet, how much their time is worth in terms of their earning potential in that time and how much chartering that private jet costs.

This is maybe still simplifying how valuable using a private jet can be though, as well as the time they save there is also the fact that the whole journey is more relaxing and someone can rest or work during the flight as well much better than they could even in business class: there is also the fact that using private flights can impress clients and increase contentedness in valuable employees who you want to keep at your company and to be as productive as possible. Compared to the cost of business class then on a commercial airline by avoiding flights from inconvenient and to inconvenient airports, flights with connections, the time wasted in airports at either end of a flight, the extra work you can do on a private plane and the fact you should be fresher and able to do a better job at the other end the extra cost of a chartered private jet may seem to make perfect sense for many.
