Owning versus chartering private jets

A private jet is used by many individuals or businesses to save time getting round between, cities, states and countries either or pleasure or for work and business reasons. A private jet is seen as the ultimate is decadence but actually can be very productive and cost effective, for some people: for others it makes sense to charter a private jet when they need it.

A private jet owned by you or your company can be exactly how you want it and setup inside how you want. It may be that you want a private jet just for transporting you and maybe your partner, it may therefore have the things you want and need like a good sized comfortable bed and your own choice in entertainments. A chartered jet of course is going to be a fairly standard layout, very comfortable but designed to be useful for as many purposes as possible.

One problem many people see with charter jets is their availability, many very small local airfields won’t have private jets available or not from a company you are happy to use. If you are regularly flying from one airfield it may make sense to have your own private jet based there. If you are a big multinational company though it could be that your private jet flies a lot of empty legs to get to where it is needed making it expensive to run. By chartering airports from regional airports near to you wherever you or your employs may be in the world you can have more efficient options.
